The Gamble House

The Gamble House is an outstanding example of American Arts and Crafts style architecture. The house and furnishings were designed by Greene & Greene in 1908 for David and Mary Gamble of the Proctor & Gamble Co. The Gamble House is a national historic landmark.

The tour is limited to the first 30 people who sign up.

Join the Princeton Asian-American Alumni Association as we celebrate the Lunar New Year with dim sum and watch the 113th Los Angeles Golden Dragon Parade!

Join the Princeton Asian-American Alumni Association, A4P Southern California, as we celebrate the Year of the Dragon 4710 in L.A. Chinatown with our 5th annual dim sum lunch at Empress Pavilion Restaurant. If you are new to dim sum or a seasoned har gaw veteran, come and enjoy while meeting friends old and new. After lunch, we’ll watch the 113th Los Angeles Golden Dragon Parade.

We’ll have three tables reserved at Empress Pavilion for that day (8 persons each) so for guaranteed seating, let us know as soon as possible. More tables may be reserved if available.

Feel free to bring friends, significant other, and/or children. Kindly R.S.V.P. before January 26 with number of people by registering for this event.

On Thursday, February 2, President Shirley Tilghman will be in Los Angeles for a special Town Hall Meeting! All area alumni, parents, and friends of Princeton are invited to hear the latest on the University’s developments and plans for the future.

President Tilghman’s special guest will be Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jeffrey Eugenides, Professor of Creative Writing in the Lewis Center for the Arts and the author of The Virgin Suicides, Middlesex, and the new novel The Marriage Plot.

The Princeton Club of Southern California invites you to visit the Natural History Museum with us, and enjoy a special tour of…

The all-new Dinosaur Hall!

The new 14,000-square-foot Dinosaur Hall is twice the size of the Museum’s old dinosaur galleries. It will rival the world’s leading dinosaur halls for the number of individual fossils displayed, the size and spectacular character of the major mounts, including the world’s only Tyrannosaurus rex growth series, and the way that paleontology comes alive! In these spacious, light-filled galleries, visitors will encounter science not as static information but as a vibrant, ongoing investigation into mysteries — some resolved and some still being explored.

Beginning at 2:30 p.m., the PCSC will have a private social reception in the Museum’s Times Mirror room with light refreshments. After, we’ll have the opportunity for docent-led tours of the Dinosaur Hall at 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. In addition, you can tour the rest of the museum on your own any time during the day. Join the PCSC on a special docent-led tour of the estate, followed by a talk with Julia Allison ’01, who manages special projects at the Huntington

Our group will enjoy a docent-led, hour-long walking tour of the estate. We’ll finish the tour at the Shakespeare Garden Cafe, where Huntington staff member Julia Allison ’01 will meet us for an informal talk about her work managing special projects in the Art Division. Afterwards, we’ll be free to explore the gardens and to enjoy the art collections and the library hall exhibitions until the museum closes at 4 p.m.

The group will be strictly limited to 25, and you must be a Princeton Club member to attend. Each member may bring one guest.

Don’t miss this fall informational meeting for Alumni Schools Committee interviewers, and anyone who is potentially interested in interviewing high school students applying for admission to the Class of 2016. Logan Powell, Princeton’s Director of Admissions, will speak and answer questions at the beautiful home of Laura Petrucci ’76.

This meeting will discuss best practices for interviewers (do’s and don’ts, and what should go into an interview report), Early Action, NCAA recruiting issues, why the Admission Office values ASC interviewing, the schedule, the process at Admissions, and similar subjects.
