n. a connoisseur of wines
Calling all Princeton oenophiles! Join us for an evening of wine tasting in Old Pasadena on Sunday, September 29th.
Your Princeton Club of Southern California presents another signature alumni event at Vertical Wine Bistro. Enter through a beguiling courtyard of exposed brick and wrought iron, then mount the stairs to a private room highlighted by a dramatic, glass-encased wine cellar. The New York loft feel strikes the perfect ambiance as you enjoy a flight of four Italian wines paired with seasonal bistro fare from celebrated chef Laurent Quenioux.
Vertical’s resident wine expert, Jason Hardy, will lead a discussion of the characteristics of each wine, including the origin and harvesting of the grapes.
Vertical Wine Bistro is owned by award-winning film and TV producer and Princeton parent Gale Anne Hurd P'14. Her first film, The Terminator, launched the career of director James Cameron, and was followed by Oscar winners Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2 and Armageddon, among many others. Gale’s daughter, Lolita, will be a senior this year at Princeton.
Cost: $55 for PCSC members, $65 for non-members.
