Simone Sasse ’14 Awarded Gates Cambridge Scholarship

Congratulations to Simone Sasse '14 of Los Angeles, who was recently awarded the Gates Cambridge Scholarship! The award gives outstanding students from outside the United Kingdom the opportunity to pursue postgraduate study at the University of Cambridge. Fellow seniors David Abugaber and Izzy Kasdin, as well as alumnae Madeline McMahon and Elizabeth Presser were among the 95 winners this year.

South LA County needs our help. They still have at least two dozen applicants who haven't been contacted for an alumni interview. Remember, you can do the interview and a time and place convenient for you. These are great kids who will bend over backwards for the opportunity.

Eisgruber Visits LA: 20th President Embraces 21st Century Challenges

Princeton University president Chris L. Eisgruber ’83 is committed to expansive, humanistic learning and citizenship. And he’s committed to the preservation of the Wawa and the dinky. Mixing the serious with the self-effacing, Eisgruber spent the evening with more than 600 LA alumni and guests on January 30 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
